1. Information Collection & Patient Data Privacy

Compliance with Information Technology Act, 2000 & SPDI Rules, 2011

PulseCare Diagnostics & Pathology Lab (headquartered at Commercial Wing, Ceratec Antara Society, Baner/Pashan Road, Pune 411033) collects patient information solely to facilitate accurate clinical laboratory testing, home phlebotomy dispatch, and medical report communication.

Categories of Information Collected:

  • Personal Identifiable Information (PII): Patient full name, age, biological sex, contact mobile number, WhatsApp handle, email address, and home collection residential address across Pune.
  • Sensitive Personal Data or Information (SPDI): Prescribed diagnostic test profiles, medical history shared voluntarily for test matching, treating doctor prescription slips, and biochemical sample parameters generated during laboratory analysis.
  • Pre-Analytical Specimen Details: Fasting status duration, collection timestamps, and 2D barcoded specimen tube identifiers.

All sensitive personal data is gathered with informed patient consent in accordance with Rule 5 of the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.

2. Google Analytics Disclosure & Web Tracking

Aggregate web traffic measurement & digital service optimization

Our website utilizes Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors interact with our diagnostic test catalog and home collection booking portal.

Explicit Disclosure on Google Analytics Data Usage:

• Google Analytics employs first-party HTTP cookies to gather aggregate, non-personally identifiable technical telemetry, including visitor browser type, operating system, device screen resolution, referring URLs, pages viewed, time spent on catalog items, and approximate geographic region (Pune / Maharashtra).

• Zero Clinical Linkage: Diagnostic test results, patient medical records, prescription images, and patient names are strictly segregated and never transmitted to or accessible by Google Analytics.

• You may choose to disable cookies via your browser settings or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on without affecting your ability to schedule phlebotomy or browse our test catalog.

3. Diagnostic Report Confidentiality & WhatsApp Dispatch

ISO 15189:2022 medical ethics & end-to-end encryption protocols

Under NABL medical accreditation standards and Indian clinical governance laws, diagnostic laboratory records are privileged and confidential medical documents.

Cryptographic QR Seals

Every digital PDF report includes a tamper-proof cryptographic QR hash tied directly to our central Laboratory Information System (LIS).

WhatsApp End-to-End Encryption

Reports dispatched over WhatsApp are transmitted via end-to-end encrypted messaging directly to the verified mobile number registered during booking.

Treating Doctor Access

Critical panic values are communicated directly by Dr. Sumit Kulkarni (MD Path) to the treating clinician only upon patient consent or emergency protocol.

Restricted Staff Authorization

Role-based access control (RBAC) ensures only certified pathologists and operating biochemists can inspect specimen analyses.

4. Data Retention & Patient Consent Rights

Statutory retention timelines and personal data modification rights

In compliance with clinical establishment guidelines and NABL regulatory mandates, digital test reports and calibrated quality logs are securely preserved for a statutory minimum duration of 3 to 5 years from the date of specimen processing.

Your Rights as a Patient:

  • Right to Access: Request duplicate digital PDF copies of historical laboratory reports authenticated by our MD Pathologist.
  • Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate demographic information (e.g., misspelled name, date of birth, or doctor referral details).
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: Patients may opt out of non-essential SMS or WhatsApp health checkup reminders at any time by replying "STOP" or notifying our lab desk.
